2nd edition of Master the Technique BY SHOULDER.PT – SCR and Tendon Transfers will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024, in Lisbon, Portugal.
This international advanced course presents the Arthroscopic Superior Capsule Reconstruction (SCR) using the Minimally Invasively Harvested Fascia Lata Autograft, SCR using the Biceps, and Tendon Transfers – Lower Trapezius and Latissimus Dorsi– for the treatment of irreparable posterosuperior rotator cuff tears by lectures and re-live demonstrations by world-renowned international faculty who are experts in the techniques.

You can perform the arthroscopic surgical techniques during the hands-on practical sessions in the cadaver lab at the anatomy stations of the Anatomy Institute of the School of Medicine of the University of Lisbon.
The course is an expert level course for orthopaedic surgeons who are experienced in shoulder arthroscopy. The aim of the course is to provide tips and tricks from the experts and help you improve your skills in performing SCR using the minimally invasively harvested Fascia Lata Autograft, SCR using the Biceps, the lower trapezius transfer, and the latissimus dorsi transfer for the treatment of irreparable posterosuperior rotator cuff tears. One week in advance of the date of the course, you will receive the technical notes and video links of the specific techniques that will be presented and practiced during the course.
The course is accredited and is under the scientific patronage of the European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA), the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow (SECEC), and the Portuguese Society for Orthopaedics and Traumatology (SPOT), and was requested to and is awaiting approval by Ethical MedTech.

IN-PERSON REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES:
– attendance to the morning re-live surgery lectures and discussion session – attendance to the afternoon cadaveric lab session – lunch, coffee and tea break
The number of participants is limited to up to 20 participants for the in-person course.

CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations for registrations received in writing to shoulder@shoulder.pt before August 1st, 2024 will be subject to an administrative charge of € 100,-. After this date, no refunds will be provided.
